| When working on my PhD thesis, the idea of Layer47 was created after having worked for ages on the layers of the ISO/OSI network stack. The fundamental idea is that, when started at layer 1, the physical layer, layer 7, the application layer, is reached after a certain decades of actively working for the technology area. Thereafter, management, economy, politics and strategy play the stronger forces in directing decisions. Suddenly, all these different layers have been passed -- then life starts at around layer 21.
